QUTIF Annual Meeting Berlin 2020

QUTIF Annual Meeting 26-28 February 2020 in Berlin

This workshop is the second regular network meeting in phase 2 of the QUTIF programme. The local organization is handled by Marc Vrakking and his team at the Max Born Institute Berlin. All QUTIF members are strongly encouraged to attend. External participants can join until capacity is filled (without reimbursement from central funds).

Apart from the presentations by QUTIF groups, there will be several invited talks and, as a warm-up for the young scientists, two tutorials (given by Tobias Witting and Misha Ivanov, MBI) scheduled before the start of the actual network meeting.

Accommodation & Reimbursement

QUTIF will cover the cost of accommodation for QUTIF members and invited speakers.

For the meeting, rooms at special rates have been reserved (code word QUTIF) in two hotels close to the meeting location (5-10 min to walk). Please make your reservation by email or phone (code word is not applicable for website reservations).
Reimbursement is available for QUTIF members. Bookings from the hotel contingents will be fully refunded. For bookings at other places or after the contingent deadline (see below) QUTIF members should note that, without compelling reasons, the upper limit for accommodation reimbursement is 80 EUR per night and person.
All participants who wish to obtain reimbursement from QUTIF funds are asked to make sure that their hotel bill shows the "Institut für Theoretische Physik, Leibniz Universität Hannover, 30167 Hannover" as billing address.
Travel expenses will be refunded as per Niedersächsischen Reisekostenverordnung (NRKVO) and the Verwaltungsvorschriften zur Niedersächsischen Reisekostenverordnung (VV-NRKVO) (German Federal Travel Expense Law and the respective Lower Saxony Implementation Rules). Further information (pdf)

Excursion to Berlin Reichstag

There will be an excursion to Berlin Reichstag on 27 Feb. The conference organizers have to register all participants of the guided tour in advance. If you want to join the excursion you need to give your date of birth in the registration form below and bring an identity card/passport with you for the security check at the entrance.

After the excursion there will be a direct bus transfer to the conference dinner.
